The Terex brand’s heavy-duty trommels, scalping screens and conveyors will now be sold and serviced locally by Tesab Spain

MDS, the Terex brand specialising in heavy-duty screening equipment, has appointed Tesab Spain as its distributor in Spain. Customers across the country will now have direct access to the MDS range of heavy-duty trommels, scalping screens and conveyors, backed by local sales support and aftermarket service.

The move gives MDS a foothold in a market where its equipment fits a clear need. Spain has a broad mix of quarrying, mining, construction and recycling operations that process large, abrasive and difficult-to-handle materials. These are the applications where conventional screening solutions can struggle and where MDS has built its reputation over more than 30 years.

The partner

Tesab Spain supplies materials processing solutions across crushing, screening, washing, stockpiling and recycling. Alongside equipment sales, it offers machine rental, spare parts and technical support, with a focus on helping customers improve production and profitability.

Among the machines it will offer is the MDS M515 Heavy Duty Trommel, one of the best-known machines in the MDS line-up, designed to handle oversized and difficult materials.

“What excites us most about this appointment is the opportunity to work more closely with customers across Spain and introduce them to equipment purpose-built for some of the toughest material processing applications,” said Mark Quinn, International Sales Manager at MDS.

Begona Méndez, Operations Director at Tesab Spain, pointed to the range of operators the company serves. “Many of these businesses require robust equipment capable of handling challenging and oversized materials, and MDS has established an excellent reputation in exactly these areas,” she said.

What changes for customers

For Spanish quarry, mining and recycling operators, the appointment means MDS equipment, technical support and aftermarket assistance from a local partner, with the option of rental through Tesab Spain’s existing services. The deal adds Spain to a European distribution network that MDS has been steadily extending.
