Baumüller showcases sustainable drive solutions for construction at bauma in Munich

Baumüller will showcase electric/hybrid drive solutions for construction machinery, including an all-electric shredder system, at bauma 2025 in Munich (Hall A3, Stand 313). Baumüller, the specialist for drive and automation systems, will present its solutions for electric and hybrid drive systems for construction machinery at bauma, the world’s largest trade fair for construction machinery, which will take place in Munich from April 07 to 13, 2025. An all-electric system solution for high-performance shredders for stationary and semi-stationary use will also be on show. Baumüller will be represented in Hall A3, Stand 313. Baumüller makes use of its many decades of experience in developing motors and producing electric motors, and for multiple years has offered energy-efficient components and complete solutions for hybrid and fully electric drive systems. Baumüller's engineering company, Baumüller Anlagen-Systemtechnik, takes on the design and implementation of innovative drive concepts for commercial vehicles and work machines and implements them in their entirety, i.e., from the components and battery management to the control system, and the user-friendly user interface, all from a single source. Turnkey drive solutions for traction systems and auxiliary units With their dynamic and powerful driving characteristics, hybrid and electric vehicles offer additional benefits alongside emission-free or reduced-emission operation, such as reduced maintenance costs, optimized control of driving characteristics or the attachments and minimal noise emissions. Baumüller offers two variants for traction systems: Depending on the requirements for the autonomy of the machine on the construction site and the required power input during operation, construction machines can be equipped with a battery-electric drive or with a diesel-electric hybrid system. The high starting torque increases driving comfort for the user. Recuperating braking energy allows for particularly economical operation. In addition to traction systems, Baumüller also offers the electrification of auxiliary units. These include, for example, electrically driven hydraulic pumps for working hydraulics or electric power take-offs. Low-noise and low-emission driving and working are just two of the many advantages they offer. Electric, decentralized auxiliary drives can selectively switch on the pressure and flow rate through efficient servo-hydraulics and control the demand-based pump output. Drive systems for mobile applications The b maXX mobil controller will be on show at the bauma. The drive solution for smaller mobile applications has an IP66 protection rating and can both drive the vehicle and feed back energy in four-quadrant operation. For mobile use, the water-cooled controller is shock and vibration-resistant. It can also be used at temperatures between -25° and +65° Celsius. Another exhibit shows a modified servomotor with a special connection technology without a terminal box. As this eliminates the apace restrictions, it is perfectly suited as a pump drive, travel drive and auxiliary drive for construction and agricultural machinery. It is equipped with a higher protection class and has a 3-pole cable for connection to the b maXX mobil. All-electric system solution for shredder drives In cooperation with Nidec Desch Antriebstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, experts in customized transmission and clutch technology, Baumüller offers a system solution for semi-stationary and stationary recycling units consisting of control and drive technology. The Tevox® Direct Drive has a perfect connection of the rotor shaft to the drive train and compared to electro-hydraulic drive concepts impresses with, among other things, higher energy efficiency and more homogeneous shredding. The Tevox can also be seen live with a Baumüller DST2 high-torque motor at the Desch stand in Hall A3, Stand 415. www.baumueller.com Powered by Induportals Media Publishing
